Bob: 8:30am and Chris has left with his family. Things are so quiet. I hear the heater humming and that is about it except for the 1st mate, who is up and moving around. Need to plan out the week as we will be going to Toronto Friday and Saturday. Right now, time to exercise after a one week respite.
Sign is all painted except one side needs one more coat. Painting the letters using stencils may take some time and patience. That means I may be in trouble.
Fishing wasn't any good. One bite all night. He took my worm. Threw another worm back and he wouldn't bite again. Don't know what has happened to these fish. The water is about 6 degrees colder than it was before the rain came. That might have some effect on them.
Fried up some pike tonight. It was okay, but not as good as the walleye. Ate the last piece of blueberry pie, but the first mate is making another once we get some flour tomorrow.
Bonnie: It was hard to see Chris and Suzy go with their kids. I think we had a great week despite the rain! Today I spent cleaning the cabin and remaking the twin beds. Bob spent lots of time on the sign he is making to the hike entrance to Devil's Rock. The sign that is there is faded so badly, it can hardly be read. Bob wants to make sure it can be found. It's a great hike, especially for families.
We are fishing tonight, of course. It will seem odd not to be playing Mexican Train with Chris and Suzy. We did that almost every night when they were here. We will report on how we do fishing.
