Bob: Went fishing this morning at about
10 after 7. Ended up catching 6, but threw 4 back as I am only
allowed to have 2 in my possession. Wouldn't want the DNR looking in
our freezer! The 2 I kept were 14” and 13”. Bonnie got up after I
left and started cleaning the cabin. Helped her finish when I got
back from fishing.
Chris and Suzy arrived with their kids
about 1:00 today. After unpacking and lunch we headed to Elk Lake to
go to the beach. Everyone but Bonnie and Suzy got in the water. It
was pretty cold in my opinion. This evening the fish finder said the
water is 73 degrees.
After dinner everyone piled into the
boat and we headed back to the walleye hole that Bonnie and I found
last Saturday evening. We ended up catching 11 walleye and throwing 1
back because I miscounted how many we were allowed. With the 2 I
caught this morning we should have enough for a great fish fry.
However, whoever is up in the morning at 7 is going out again if it's
not raining.
